MET PRIMARY SCHOOL ADMISSIONS CONSULTATION FROM 01/12/20 TO 12/01/21
ADMISSION CONSULTATION for AUTUMN 2022 ENTRY and MID-TERM TRANSFERS from AUTUMN 2022 onwards for the following MOWBRAY EDUCATION TRUST PRIMARY SCHOOL ACADEMIES;
• Ab Kettleby Primary School,
• Brownlow Primary School
• The Grove Primary School
• Sherard Primary School
• Somerby Primary School
Although we are not proposing any changes for any of our Primary School admission arrangements or catchment areas for Autumn 2022 entry and mid-term transfers from Autumn 2022 onwards, there is a requirement that we must consult on our admission arrangements at least once every 7 years, even if there have been no changes during that period.
The consultation will run for six weeks from Tuesday 1st December 2020 to Tuesday 12th January 2021 inclusive. Full information regarding the admission consultation can be found on our website below.
We welcome all responses to this consultation, either by returning the response form on this website or by emailing [email protected]
Following the close of the consultation, the Trustees of the Mowbray Education Trust will then consider all responses before making a final decision. This will then be published on both the Mowbray Education Trust and each of the schools (listed above) websites by 15th March 2021, along with information about how any objections can be lodged with the Office of the School Adjudicator.
Hard copies of these documents can be provided upon request by e-mailing [email protected]
If you would like your child to come to our school, please see the information below (along with all the other information on this website, of course).
If you would like to arrange a visit to see the school in action, then please get in touch with Mrs Holland who will be happy to arrange a time for you to pop in. Because of the coronavirus restrictions we are asking for adults to wear facemasks when they are with us.
We use the Mowbray Education Trust (MET) admissions procedures and criteria.
Please read the admissions policy in the 'Policies' section of the website (in the 'Key information' heading).
We are happy to assist parents and carers in these procedures. Please speak to Mrs Holland in the office.
We provide a range of visits and workshops for parents/ carers and children before starting in our first year, which is called the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). This enables children to become familiar with their new surroundings and to settle in quickly, and helps parents and carers in supporting their children.
